PRIX TEEN - Heat Horse
Last week, we released our first song as Prix Teen. We did a show on December 9th at College Bar in Stillwater and burned the place to the ground. Hell of a time.
More tracks coming, more shows coming.
“An imagination is no longer required to enjoy a sandbox thanks to some Czech students, who use a Kinect sensor and a projector to map interactive animations of hills and rivers based on how deep the sand is.”
“Higher areas appear green like lush mountains, while the deepest valleys fill with blue water, becoming lakes and rivers. The topography can be reshaped in real time by digging around in the sand, which will interactively change the flow of the water. And by punching a hole into the top of a mountain you can even create an active erupting volcano, with lava that’s extinguished once it hits the water. ”

Well, I’m obsessed.
Eco-spheres are glass, self-contained ecosystems that can last up to 15 years. Shrimp, algae, and bacteria sustain each other with no need for care except providing indirect sunlight.
Eco-spheres were originally created by NASA when studying the possibilities of closed ecosystems for humans.
Eco-spheres range from $80 - $500. (The smallest are currently on sale for $63)

This year, the television is great. Sean and I have at least one show that we watch every night of the week. I’ve been so impressed with the new shows (and old) this season so far.
Sunday : The Amazing Race 19
I’m not the biggest Amazing Race fan, but my dad is. He watches it every year without fail. I was home last weekend and got caught up on the first few episodes. Even if you haven’t seen it before, it is worth a watch. So far this season, my favorite team is Amani and Marcus Pollard. She’s a businesswoman, and he’s an ex pro football player. I’ll be rooting them on every Sunday.
Monday : Terra Nova
So far, Terra Nova may be one of my favorite shows this season. It is well executed with very intriguing story lines, and we’re only two episodes in. Of all the shows this season, this one is probably most worth a watch. Dinosaurs, the future, time travel, science. It doesn’t get better.
Tuesday : New Girl
Zooey Deschanel. End of story. This new show is absolutely adorable, smart, and funny. Zooey’s character Jess is the girl every girl wants to be, and every guy wants to be with.
Wednesday : Up All Night
Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph make this comedy one of the best I’ve seen in years. Two of my absolute favorites, and there are always plenty of appearances by SNL cast. (Will Forte, Jorma Taccone)
Thursday : Parks and Recreation & The Office
I’ve followed both these shows for their previous seasons, but I’m still hanging on. Parks and Recreation is just as great as last season, and The Office is doing surprisingly well after the cast change.
